Milk temperature – 65 deg C (max)

  • Heat 1 cup of milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Let the milk simmer until bubbles form around the edges, but not boiling (about 60 deg C). Remove the pan to a flat surface.
  • Whip the milk with an electric mixer (or in a French press), increasing the speed as the milk begins to thicken. Continue mixing until the desired volume of froth is reached.
  • Prepare the coffee. Measure 2 tbsp of ground coffee for 150ml to 180ml of water, using French Roast Coffee for a full-bodied taste. Coffee can be brewed in an automatic drip coffeemaker or in a French press.

A classic cappuccino calls for 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, and 1/3 foam. You can mix it up by using 2 or 3 tablespoons of flavored syrups or even different kinds of milk, like chocolate or vanilla.
